I so wanted to love this! I even bought a bright red harness to match. And my new ID tag, sadly, sits…
A rolled collar would be best with my new peke’s long hair, as one (cheaper) had been needed with my long gone hairy rough collie.
But the red isn’t red. It’s a muted oxblood. And there’s an all red, vs. this two-toned, available (with desired silver hardware), too. But it’s a 1/3” dia., vs. the 1/4” here. Or a flat one, vs. rolled? As it was, I was surprised, as I thought it’d be thinner.
Then, there’s all the reviews on issues with returns, due to sizing. The website says one thing. Their YouTube sizing video says add 2”. That seemed to confirm with a reviewer who’d so very kindly posted pictures with measuring tapes. Made perfect sense. But not…. It happened to super careful me, too.
And writing for assistance prior was no help, as no answer ever came…. And forget limited calling hours, as they’d prefer emails?
The good things? Wow. It was twisted, which would work itself out buckled? It’s buttery, beautifully soft. My tiny 6.5 lb. Peke will hopefully more easily adapt. And her white fur won’t get stained, as with others?
And exchanges couldn’t be easier. Click “here” it says — don’t email, as the page bottom says to do! — choose your alternate, and decline the $8.95 offering for a pickup.
It’s tricky, I know. But following that, you’ll have the choice for waiting for the return to arrive back before shipment or it being sent right away with a pending new charge if your USPS return isn’t posted post-haste.
A free label for unlimited returns to get it right is a gracious. bonus. But considering the urgency of the product, I’m sure we’d all much prefer the instructions, or emails, or calling hours were not contradictory and/or were consumer friendly?
I’m hoping the 10” black one (10” neck!) arrives soon…

I love this collar-this is the second one I have purchased. The first one I’ve had for 5yrs and it holds up well! I have a shitzu-yorkie and have no troubles with tangles when using this collar. It also seems comfortable for her since it’s rolled vs having a flat edge against her neck. Try it out!
The Helsingborg slender collar is both beautiful and well made. I purchased this collar for my 9 month old Sheltie. The collar is durable, strong and lightweight. Although I don’t see it because it is buried in his coat, i know it is protecting his hair from breaking and he doesn’t know it’s there either!
This is a beautiful collar. I have a small dog and it is really nice that this collar is lightweight. The leather is really soft and supple. The craftsmanship is lovely. I had to return for size correction and Anita was very helpful. I would definitely order from this shop again.
